County events

The KCBA website (Kent County Bridge Association) features results, events and news and KCBA holds online tournaments every Saturday at 2.30pm on BBO for anybody with an NGS ranking of 9 or below.

Online Blue Pointed Swiss Pairs

6x6 board matches on RealBridge taking place on Saturday 16th May 2026, with session 1 starting at 1pm and session 2 at 3.45pm. Entry fee £9pp. Register by clicking HERE.

Improvers Pairs on BBO

As part of the EBU Spring Bank Holiday Congress, KCBA are running the Improvers Pairs online at BBO on Monday 25th May 2026. Open to players who are NGS 9 & below (as of Saturday 23rd May), the event is priced at a discounted rate to encourage new players who would like to take the first steps into congress bridge, although of course the event is open to all NGS 9 & below players.

There is a choice of sessions: 11.00am - 1.15pm or 2.30pm - 4.45pm or both

Each session is 18 boards, 9x2 boards. Pre-entry required using registration form here.

PLAY BRIDGE WITH US!

Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm - 4.30pm (except 2nd Tuesday of the month). 

Wednesday & Friday evenings from 7.20pm - 10.30pm.

All sessions are face-to-face.

There are also special events happening throughout the year open to all levels. Please check our calendar along with the Book Events pages in the main menu to the left.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout all sessions.

Guests and visitors are particularly welcome on Tuesdays and also for our special events. For evening bridge (Wed/Fri) it is recommended that you please email farnboroughbridge@gmail.com to ensure there is room. We also have hosts available on non-competition evenings.

Learn to Play Bridge at Farnborough

Farnborough are currently running bridge lessons for improvers. Several of our current attendees are those wanting to refresh the basics and hone their skills. The next term will run from 18th March 2026.

Farnborough Members win Larsky Cup 2026

Congratulations to FBC members John Amor and John Hemington on winning the much sought after Larsky Cup final on 28th March 2026 with 63.73%. The top four pairs will represent Kent in the Corwen Cup this year.

Corbett League 2026

Farnborough once again retained the Corbett Cup, the premier club competition in Kent, for the fourth year in a row at the 2026 competition in January.

For the highest accolade, our A team were 1st and B team were 2nd in the Corbett Cup. Also our C team were 5th in the Corbett Plate and D team came 3rd in the Mitchell Salver.

The best four pairs in the Cup were from Farnborough and all eight pairs finished top 15. They were:

Farnborough will again be representing Kent in the 'Garden Cities Trophy' regional final at Richmond bridge club on 9th May.

Congratulations and thanks go to all 32 members who represented the club along with our match captain, John Hemington, and the rest of our FBC committee who captained and managed the teams.

TUESDAYS On Tuesday afternoons we provide partners for all new visitors to guarantee a game. For information please email us at farnboroughbridge@gmail.com, or simply turn up and enjoy an afternoon of bridge with us!

WEDNESDAYS/FRIDAYS For members whose regular partner is unable to play, we offer a host system on non-competition evenings. Please check which evenings offer a host in the Calendar section of the main menu. If you need a partner on competition evenings, please log in to the Find a partner facility to register your interest. Any member without regular partners cannot play with a host more than three times per year.

The club is cashless and table money is invoiced monthly by email with the club's bank details for transfers. If you have a query please text or email it to our treasurer:
