CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK |
On behalf of your committee, it is with regret because of the dangers of Covid-19, we have decided, along with Government guidelines, to suspend the playing of bridge at the Winscombe Community Centre until further notice.
We will monitor the situation continuously and be in touch to let you know when we expect to resume play.

WINSCOMBE MOVE TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON |
When we are able to return to playing 'face to face' at the community Centre the club's duplicate session will move from a Friday evening to Thursday afternoon - time to be advised.

 Situated midway between Weston-super-Mare and Cheddar in North Somerset, we are always pleased to see bridge players, whether members or visitors, and try to ensure a varied programme to suit all standards. Winscombe Bridge Club is affiliated to Somerset Contract Bridge Association and hence to the English Bridge Union. Our premises are at the Winscombe Community Centre where there is ample free parking. Free refreshments are available at all our sessions.
Duplicate Bridge
- Thursday afternoon, time TBA
- Boards are computer dealt with print-outs available at end of session
- Electronic table-top scoring with results shown on screen at end of session
- Results emailed to participants on conclusion of the final board
- The club has nine major championships each year with trophies presented at the Christmas party
Social Bridge
- Afternoon and time to be advised; just turn up and we’ll provide a partner if you don’t have one
My Learning to play
- Three EBU associate teachers at the club
- Each year we start a new two year EBU course
Club membership is inexpensive and you qualify to enter the club competitions and become eligible to represent the club at County events. Again, please come along to enjoy the bridge in a friendly atmosphere with players of all abilities and if you want to know more contact: obrien-jm@outlook.com
