Thursday evenings at Oxford Bridge Club at 7.15 pm ending around 9.30pm and will run in parallel with Supervised Play (SP). The main difference between these sessions is that in SP players can ask for advice on bidding and play, while in the Relaxed Session players will be expected to play without guidance. It should be considered the next step from SP before joining a Gentle Duplicate event.
This session is aimed at players who are in the early stages of their bridge careers so ideal for students in the Bridge for All classes. It will also suit those who would like to refresh their skills or just want an opportunity to play a few boards for fun in a less competitive event. 12 - 16 boards will be played at a relaxed pace.
You don't need a partner as there will be a host (a spare person) to play with.
The cost is £4 per session (payable via debit card/credit card at the club) to include tea and coffee. There's no need to book – just come along!
The club is located close to Summertown at 147 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 7AN. There is free parking on side streets near to the club (Moreton Road and Lathbury Road, and slightly further afield, Northmoor Road).
