Speedball is fast-paced fun bridge, played at a rate of 4 minutes a board (rather than the usual 7 or 8), and where the normal rules of bridge don’t apply. There is a director, but their main role is to call the moves – and remove boards from slow tables.

It’s loud and different! Come along and give it a try, on the first Friday of the month at the clubhouse, at 7.15pm. The bar will be open.  We’ll play 24 boards without a break, aiming to finish by 9pm. Masterpoints will be awarded, but it won’t count for NGS. Table money is the usual £3.50, or £1.75 for those with a concession card (card payments only). You can come with a partner, or arrive without one and use the host system. Non-members are welcome. 

This is a new type of session, so please come and give it a go. The only requirement is the ability to play quickly! The success of this event is entirely up to you, and if we get enough support we’ll continue to run it on a monthly basis.
