Discounted Places at Oxfordshire Congress
Discounted Places at Oxfordshire Congress

Oxfordshire Bridge Association runs an annual Congress, which includes Green Pointed Swiss Pairs and Swiss Teams competitions, and a Blue Pointed "Friendly Pairs" competition for players with NGS rankings of 9 or below. This year the Congress will be held on the weekend of 17-18 August, in a lovely modern venue at Abingdon School, close to the centre of Abingdon. There are trophies and prizes for all three events. More details and a full brochure can be found on the OBA website.

Oxfordshire Bridge Association are keen to see lots of entries to these events from players who belong to Oxfordshire clubs, and have decided to offer discounts to some of our members on the published entry fees for the Swiss Pairs and the Friendly Pairs.

Congress Swiss Pairs (Sat 17th August)

OBC can nominate up to three pairs (six players) for entry at £20 per player (rather than the published price of £27), provided that they haven't previously played in this event. Under-26's would pay £10 each and under-19's £5 (published prices £13.50 and £6.75).

Congress Friendly Pairs (for players NGS 9 or below) (Sunday 18th August)

All entries submitted through OBC will be entitled to a reduced entry fee of £6 per player (rather than the published price of £8.50).

If you would like to be to benefit from these discounted rates, please email you and your partner's name, EBU numbers, and email addresses to Liza. The three discounted places in the Swiss Pairs will be allocated to eligible pairs on a first-come, first-served basis.

The final deadline for entries via OBC is Wednesday 7 August.
