Sunday 1st November, 2026 at Filleigh Village Hall
For this friendly Charity Swiss Teams, players enter as a pair and are matched to make a team.
All proceeds will go to the North Devon Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Care.
All are welcome and EBU membership is not required.
 Devon Club Teams of Eight Saturday 13th February, 2027 on RealBridge
This one-day two-session competition for EBU-affiliated Devon clubs is the qualifying competition for the EBU Garden Cities Trophy.
Devon Premier Pairs Sunday 25th April, 2027 on RealBridge
This one-day two-session pairs competition is green-pointed and is the qualifying competition for the EBU Corwen Trophy.

| Charity Swiss Teams for the Dartington Trophy |
This popular Charity Swiss Teams event took place at the Filleigh Village Hall on Sunday, May 10, 2026 with a record 20 teams taking part.
Congratulations to the trophy winners for the second year running Dave Strawbridge & Mike Walsh with Betty Golding & Margaret Mardlin (pictured). In second place, also for the second year running, were Richard Lingham & Viv Mabley with Graham Hoare & Ann Slee. The risers prize was won by Malcolm and Catherine Boyack with Ann Hill & Liz Matravers.

Thanks to the generosity of those present, we raised £550 for the North Devon Hospice and £100 for Macmillan Cancer Care.

| Devon County Congress 2026 |
56 pairs and 23 teams came to Torquay for a the very enjoyable 70th Devon County Congress in the excellent Grand Hotel. Congratulations to the winners of the pairs, Paul Denning & Tim Rees, and to the winners of the teams, Ian Walsh, Warner Solomon, Tracy Sherman & Stefan Lindfors.
Many thanks to Shelia Ferguson and the rest of the Congress committee - Neil Marsden & Bill Luscombe - for organising such a great weekend. Thanks also to our directors Jeremy Child and George Delafield.

| North Devon Congress 2026 |
The 31st North Devon Congress took place at the Barnstaple Hotel on Friday 27th February through Sunday 1st March 2026.
There were 50 pairs for the ten-match Swiss Pairs competition on the Friday and Saturday and 26 teams for the seven-match Swiss Teams competition on the Sunday. Congratulations to the winners of the pairs: David Southcombe & Carmen Ruiz-Castell and to the winners of the teams: Harry, Theo, Sally & Sam Anoyrkatis.
