North Devon Congress 2025 |
The 30th North Devon Congress took place at the Barnstaple Hotel on Friday 28th February through Sunday 2nd March 2025.
There were 46 pairs for the ten-match Swiss Pairs competition on the Friday and Saturday and 25 teams for the seven-match Swiss Teams competition on the Sunday.
Congratulations to the winners of the pairs, Debbie & Simon Richards, and to the winners of the Teams, Sally & Terry Stuttard with Chris Thomas & John Dick (pictured above).

No Fear Bridge Pairs 2024 |
On Sunday October 20, 2024, the DBA held the first No Fear Bridge Pairs competition in Exeter. We had ten tables for this new event for Bridge improvers. Congratulations to the winners Claire Hughes and Alison Strachan, the runners up Carol Bewes and David Wainwright, and the winners of the risers prize Ann & Alan Austin.
Many thanks to all our helpers for making it such a success - Liz T, Elizabeth, Ann, and Hilary for putting on a fantastic lunch, and Jeremy, Neville, Michael and Jacqui for keeping things running smoothly in the Bridge room.

Devon County Congress 2024 |
 The Devon County Congress took place on the weekend of the 12th to the 14th April 2024 at the Toorak Hotel in Torquay. We had 44 pairs in the Swiss Pairs competition on the Friday and Saturday and 20 tables in the Swiss Teams on the Sunday. Many thanks to the hotel, our TD Colin Simcox, our host Jeremy Child and the organising team led by Doug Dunn.
Well done to Alan Wearmouth & Tony Hill who won the Swiss Pairs and to Ceri Pierce, Tim Rees, Ian Hamilton & Paul Denning who won the Swiss Teams.
