| Joyce Allard Teams Trophy Competition |
The Joyce Allard Teams trophy competition will be held in the evening of Monday 18th May.
This competition is handicapped, but all teams are welcome to play.
The winning team must have an average club handicap of 6 or higher.
Your team could be the winners!!!

TUESDAY 9th JUNE starting at 1.30pm
This pairs competition will be handicapped. The winning pair must have a club handicap of 6 or higher.
However, everyone is welcome to come and play.
There will be a host.

| The Nelson Rose Bowl Tournament |
Gill Copeland, Nichola Cockerill-Smith playing with non members, Catherine Thompson and Lesley Bridson were the winners of the Nelson Rose Bowl competition ( for ladies) which was held on May 7th.
An excellent result! Well done!

| The Yorkshire Mixed Pairs Competition |
Many congratulations go to Alan Jarvis and Georgina Wooler who won the Yorkshire Mixed Pairs competition held on Sunday May 10th.
Gill Copeland and her partner (non member) Geoff Kenyon were joint second.
Very well done all.

| Celebration |

It was ROBERT'S 60th BIRTHDAY on Monday May 4th and lots of members met up at the Club to help him celebrate. It was a really lovely evening with wine and delicious food. Many thanks to all those who helped with the catering and the organisation. It is so nice that not only is our Club great for bridge but also that it is a lovely place to make friends and to celebrate with them.

| Learners and Improvers |
Stephen Halston is running various bridge lessons for anyone who wants to learn bridge or to improve their bridge standard and understanding.
These sessions are held on Thursday afternoons from 1.30 to 4.00pm and everyone is welcome.
