No Fear Bridge

If you are someone who has recently started learning bridge and you would like the chance to play without time pressure and with  someone to ask if you need help, then you might like to play in our No Fear Sessions every Thursday Evening at 07.10pm.  There is no need to book, just turn up – there is a host so you can play without a partner.  These Thursday evenings are also suitable for anyone who prefers to play a relaxed game and everyone is most welcome.

Learners and Improvers
Learners and Improvers

Stephen Halston is running various bridge lessons for anyone who wants to learn bridge or to improve their bridge standard and understanding.

These sessions are held on  Thursday afternoons from 1.30 to 4.00pm and everyone is welcome.

From October 2025 on, the lessons on Thursday afternoons are a follow on for those people who previously went to Stephen’s fast track bridge course.

From January on, Stephen is running improver sessions.  These will include a teams v pairs session which will be extremely useful, especially to anyone interested in playing in the Yorkshire League.  Whenever the teaching sessions are not running, social bridge is played. Stephen has very kindly said that any member of Bradford Bridge Club is welcome to come to any or all of the sessions at no charge.

SAD NEWS

It is with deep sadness that we have to report the death of Carole Kelly,  a long standing member of the club.

She  was always warm and friendly and an excellent bridge player  having attained the rank of 2* Grand Master.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Compensation for Disruption Due to Flood

Therefore there will be no payment due for 2026.
