Wimborne Online Bridge Club (W.O.B.C) was set up during the Pandemic Lockdown to provide online opportunity to play competitive social bridge.  Our roots lie in variety of local face to face (F2F) clubs and U3A Bridge.  Many of our members now play both F2F, for example Harvey's Bridge Club (see "Useful Lnks" menu button) and online although we have a significant number who have decided that the future for them is to play solely online.

Most of our members come from the Wimborne, Poole and Bournemouth area in Dorset, but we have a number of members outside Dorset.

Our aim is to:

• Run competitive social bridge tournaments for anybody, home or abroad, mainly playing modern ACOL
• Create (with others) pathways for those learning Bridge into playing in a club environment (both online and F2F)
• Work in partnership with like-minded F2F clubs
• Work in partnership with those providing teaching for 'beginners' and 'improvers'

We have members who run teaching under a variety of umbrellas so they form a natural link for us.
