Proposed EGM

Wigan Bridge Club

EGM - THURSDAY 3RD APRIL AT 7.00PM

There is a planned "trial week" 24th 25th and 27th March for the Bridge club to hold the Bridge sessions at Trinity United reformed Church. All are welcome and your attendance is very strongly encouraged so that as many people as possible can get a feel for what may be our future venue.

Hopefully this will be a success and, following further developments with regard to offers to purchase 38 Bridgeman Terrace we are to hold an EGM.

The EGM will be held on Thursday 3rd April 2025 at 7.00pm

There will be a vote taken at the meeting and the committee has decided on this motion:-

"The Committee recommends and proposes relocation of Wigan Bridge Club to Trinity Unity Reform Church and that we accept the highest offer in place for 38 Bridgeman Terrace.

Do you wish to accept the committees proposal?"

Note.

At present there are two firm offers to purchase the building.

One for £170,000 and one for £162,500

This EGM is to take the vote and for no other purpose.

There will be a question and answer session before the vote but please, if you have any questions or comments, put them in writing and send them by email to me Shaunfrayne.sf@gmail.com or hand them to any committee member or place in the grey post box in the club hallway.

Please do this in good time for the meeting.

In this way we can prepare beforehand our answers and keep the meeting to a reasonable duration.

If you are unable to attend the EGM but would like to cast your vote. you can do so via a proxy form for that purpose. available from Shaun, at the club or from any committee member or online by requesting one from wiganbridgeclub@gmail.com

There will be a free bridge session following the EGM if time allows.

Shaun Frayne - Club Secretary
