Entries for the Lady Rose Qualifier are now closed.
The Surrey Lady Rose Qualifier is back for 2024-25! As with last season, there will be two different entry routes, with a qualifying competition for less experienced players running from July and stronger players joining the 'Main Draw' from September.
The Lady Rose Qualifier follows a knock-out format, with one 24-board match per month starting from July. Green points will be awarded, with the winning team entering the Main Draw of the Lady Rose. Losers at any stage will be invited to play in the Plate competition. Even better, entries are now open!

Am I eligible to enter?
Entry to the Lady Rose will now vary according to a team's NGS grade. You can find your NGS grade on My EBU or by contacting any member of the committee.
- "All players in my team have an NGS of 9 or lower" - You are eligible to enter the Lady Rose Qualifier!
- "At least one player in my team has an NGS of a Queen or higher" - You can enter the Lady Rose Main Draw which starts in September. Entries will open later in the year.
- All other teams - Good news, you can enter either the Qualifier (starts in July) or the Main Draw (starts in September). We encourage teams with an average NGS of below a Ten to enter the Qualifier and those with a higher NGS to enter the Main Draw, however the ultimate decision is up to you.
If you are eligible, you can register using the web form below by the end of June. Entries will close no earlier than Sunday 16th June, after which entries may close if a suitable number of teams is reached. Note that, whilst each match only requires four players, you can nominate up to six players to provide additional flexibility. Entries to the 2024-25 League and the Main Draw of the Lady Rose will open later in the year.
