Train to be a Bridge Teacher

Have you or any of your club members ever thought about becoming a bridge teacher?

Why not join one of the upcoming Club Teacher Training courses run by English Bridge Education & Development (EBED).

For 2024 the course dates are:

The 2-day courses give aspiring bridge teachers the skills to teach bridge effectively. As an EBU affiliated club, you are eligible for discounts or concessionary places.

Lady Rose Cup & Plate - Teams knock out competitions.  The Cup is Green Pointed and teams losing in rounds 1 or 2 will be entered into the Plate.

The fixtures for the Lady Rose Plate will be sent out in January once round 2 of the Cup is complete

Free entry for everyone this season.

Winning team - Cup: Trophy + and eligible to represent Surrey in the Pachabo Cup

Winning team - Plate: Hall of Fame

Closing Date for Entries:  28 September 2020

Competition Runs from October to May

Surrey League - Annual Teams League for all abilities

Free entry for everyone this season.

Division 1 - Blue Pointed - Suitable for the top Surrey players (typically Ace, King, Queen on NGS). Winner: Trophy

    Division 2 - Suitable for strong club players (typically 10 on NGS).  

    Division 3 - Suitable for most club players (typically 8 on NGS). 

    Division 4 - Suitable for improver and social players (typically 6 on NGS). EBU Membership not required.  

Closing Date for Entries:  29 September 2020

Competition Runs from October to May.  Final for Divisions 2-4 End May

Novice League - Suitable for players having lessons or just starting out.  EBU Membership not required. 

Free entry for everyone this season.

Closing Date for Entries:  28 November 2020

Competition Runs from December to May.  Final End May

My EBU

Enter Results, manage players within the team and schedule matches - All League and Knockout admin is now managed via the "My EBU" site under the Utilities menu

Only Captains are able to add results and players (each team can have multiple Captains for this purpose)

At the start of the Season, the Leagues and Knockout administrators will creat the Teams for you and add the nominated Captain.  Once set, each Captain can then set other Captains within the team and make all necessary admin changes and entries
