The Bygott Trophy was inaugurated by the Club in 2002 in honour of David Bygott, who retired as Chairman in that year. The trophy is awarded to the winners of our Midsummer Pairs Competition held in June each year. Only pairs who are both members of the Club are eligible to win the trophy although visitors may take part in the event.
As a tribute to two loyal members and friends, we hold a special event each year in memory of Tim and Nancy Binyon with a Cup and a couple of bottles of wine to the winners.
The event is a mixed pairs competition for members only held in October. (Any pairs who are not 'mixed' or not Club members are allowed to play but are not eligible to win the Cup or wine.)
A trophy is awarded at the AGM each year to the person(s) whose bridge has, in the eyes of the Committee, progressed the most in the past year.
The 20th Anniversary Cup was awarded in 2012 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the club. It was awarded to the winner of the Individual Bridge Competition held on 21 May 2012.
