MARY O BUACHAIN RIP
You will all be sad to learn of the death of Mary O Buachain. Mary has been a member of St Therese’s BC since it’s foundation and was a loyal supporter of the club. Due to ill health, Mary hasn’t played in the club since before covid but she continued to play online with Deerpark BC. It was always lovely to meet Mary at the bridge table and she will be sadly missed in the club. On behalf of our members, we send condolences to Mary’s family. Mary’s funeral will be held at 10am on Saturday 25th April in St Therese’s Church, Mount Merrion. May she rest in peace

Scoring
If you’ve been checking out your scores over the last few weeks, you’ll see that we are entering a lot more information, instead of just showing the scores for each board. Now, as well as the actual score, you can see what the contract was, who played the hand and how many tricks were made
This takes quite a bit longer to score, but we are happy to do it if players are interested. So we’d appreciate some feedback as to whether this is something members like to see

Some Bridge Trivia
Did you know – Each king in a deck of cards represents a great king from history? The King of Spades is King David; the King of Clubs is Alexander the Great; the King of Hearts is Charlemagne; the King of Diamonds is Julius Caesar! With acknowledged thanks to "Three Rock Panorama".
