Enjoy your bridge in 2026/27

Winter and the flu season are here

Please be careful to protect yourself and others from germs that might cause flu, covid or other conditions

So, please use a mask if you are coming to bridge and you have any infection that could be passed on to other players

Members seeking partners may use the club WhatsApp facility

If you’ve been checking out your scores over the last few weeks, you’ll see that we are entering a lot more information, instead of just showing the scores for each board.  Now, as well as the actual score,  you can see what the contract was, who played the hand and how many tricks were made

This takes quite a bit longer to score, but we are happy to do it if players are interested.  So we’d appreciate some feedback as to whether this is something members like to see

Did you know –   Each king in a deck of cards represents a great king from history?  The King of Spades is King David; the King of Clubs is Alexander the Great; the King of Hearts is Charlemagne; the King of Diamonds is Julius Caesar!              With acknowledged thanks to "Three Rock Panorama".
