On Friday 24th April at 7.00 Nick Woolven, a prominent Yorkshire bridge player, will give this year's expert talk on Doubles. Tickets priced at £10 are available from Anne Bell and include cheese and wine.

Congratulations to members Liz Muir and Don Reid who were part of the Kempson Vases winning team and Pat Barton who was in the runner's up four.

On Friday 27th March we had to add some missing scores after the result was first published. Simon and Sheila were first ahead of Liz and Don with Catherine and George in third.

On Thursday 2nd April Bernard and John were comfortably first with Lisa and Jan in second.

Stannington BC offers three regular games, all operating under EBU rules and awarding master points. On Wednesday evenings we play an online game of about 20 boards on BBO. On Thursday mornings at Stannington Village Hall we have a gentle bridge session of around 15 boards for members and improvers and provide hosts as partners. On Friday evenings we play face to face at the hall too when we hold our main club evening and play 24 boards. We have a monthly special event including friendly competitions, expert talks, cheese and wine evenings and, of course, our legendary Christmas Party!

We provide free refreshments and welcome visitors and players of all abilities to our friendly club.
