There are a couple of advance notices to be aware of:

• The next county wide SIMS is scheduled to be played on Weds, 28th January. I am hopefully that a number of clubs would wish to host this, and in addition, we would also hope to run an on-line session at the usual BBO Staffs & Shrops evening game. This though does require pre-registration, and this is easily achieved by asking John, to register you with your EBU number. Visitors (in pairs) are also very welcome to join club members at Newcastle and Wrekin heats. Please telephone the club contact to register with the organizer and to find out about table money, the starting time and the address of the venue.
• Then much further ahead there is the Regional Final of the National Pairs which will be on-line, on 23rd March. The National Final will be held on the 12th April. Qualification for the regional final is through a local county affiliated club, and any pair scoring over 55% (over a minimum of 18 boards) between the 2nd and 15th February, will be eligible. Assuming these scores are submitted to the EBU, qualification will be automatic.
