Away weekend 10th – 13th April 2015 at The Little Thatch Inn, Quedgeley

A group of 28 (22 of whom were bridge players) enjoyed a bridge weekend just outside Gloucester.  The weather was kind so the day time was largely spent visiting the various local tourist attractions before sitting down to bridge in the evening.

After two very successful trips to Lytham St Annes a change of scene was suggested.  Anne Smith undertook the onerous task of finding a venue that satisfied the necessary criteria, much easier said than done, and came up with an old coaching Inn, part of which dated back to the 13th century, just outside Gloucester.  Sylvia organised the accommodation/booking.  David, having put in a great deal of preparation work, ran the very successful bridge sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Where to go next year - any suggestions?! It is not easy to find somewhere that "ticks all the boxes" so going back to Quedgeley for a second year would save much research.  Have your say - talk to a committee member.
