Liam's Memorial will take place on Tuesday 14th April, starting at 11am at Walker Hall in Edgbaston
The Moseley Monday bridge group will be buying a tree to plant in Liam's memory on the day and his ashes will be scattered at the same time.
This will be followed by Refreshments/lunch

| RIP Jean Haddleton |
We are sad to inform you that one of our members Jean Haddleton has passed away. Jean was an excellent bridge player and often partnered her brother Barry who is also a member of NBC. Our condolences go to Barry and all of Jean's family. Jean's funeral will be on Thursday April 16th at 11.30 at Lodge Hill Crematorium. All are welcome and also to attend Harborne Golf Club afterwards. Jean's family have asked that those who intend to join then at the golf club please email her daughter for the purposes of numbers at mjs1945@outlook.com.

| New teaching programme September 2026 |
♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ Peter Nicholds and Nigel Sadler run a teaching programme for beginners and inexperienced players on Mondays at 5.45 pm. The cost is £3 per session of about 1 hour duration, which includes follow up notes. For further details please contact Peter at peternicholds1@gmail.com

| Enjoy duplicate bridge in a friendly club |
♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ Formed in 1992, NBC is now a well-established, friendly, EBU-affiliated club which plays at Weoley Castle WMC where we use the club's Concert Room and its ample off-road parking facilities.
There is a one-off joining fee of £10 with an annual membership of £10. Table money, which includes a refreshments charge, is just £3 for members and non-members alike, but non-members may expect to be asked to pay a £1 entrance fee to WMC. Members are also obliged to join the WMC but the charge for this is met from NBC resources
We meet each Monday and Thursday evening and ask members to arrive no later than 6:45 pm to be ready for a (at the very latest) 7 pm start. Also, we play Friday mornings starting at 11.00- please arrive by 10.45 if you wish to play.
We both welcome and encourage players who want to try playing at a bridge club for the first time and our membership ranges all the way from novices to a Grand Master.

| Friday morning sessions |
♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ We run "Friendly Friday" morning sessions. If playing, please arrive by 10.45 am ready for an 11.00 am start. These sessions are suitable for all levels of players but there are fewer boards and a more gentle pace than at our evening sessions.

The cost is £3.00 for members and £4.00 for visitors. Please note, we use cashless payment only.
