George Wise

It is with much sadness that we have to report that long standing club member George Wise has sadly passed away recently, following a long illness. George was a regular Tuesday online player and will be missed by everyone.

Face to Face Competition - Saturday 13 June - Hartlip Village Hall

A face-to-face competition is being run by Kent Contract Bridge Association (KCBA) which is open to all players with a NGS grading of between 2 and 9 (most MTBC members fall into this range).  This is an ideal competition for both newer players and more experienced pairs. This will be a friendly event which may help to set players on the path to entering competitions, particularly if they have not tried them before.

The venue will be the village hall in Hartlip, just off the A2 and will be held on Saturday 13th June.  There will be morning (11am to 1.15pm) and afternoon (2.30pm – 4.45pm) sessions of 18 boards each and pairs may choose to play in either or both of these. Entry fee is £5 per person, per session and tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.  Bring a sandwich lunch or pop to the local pub in between sessions.

Full details and an online entry form can be found on the KCBA website - https://www.bridgewebs.com/cgi-bin/bwor/bw.cgi?club=kent&pid=display_page106

A number of Medway Towns BC members have already registered to play.
