| ABOUT THE CLUB |
We are an active friendly bridge club serving Market Harborough and its surrounding area. We play duplicate bridge in the New Horizons Hall, Coventry Road.(Baptist Church Hall), Market Harborough on various afternoons/evenings and run lessons and improver sessions at the Methodist Church on Wednesdays. See below for details.
Members pay a small annual subscription of £20, visitors are always welcome.
If you are a visitor looking for a game and have a partner, you can turn up for a Thursday or Friday session, or contact secretary@mhbridge.com for other sessions
If you are a bridge player without a partner, either come along on Friday afternoons, or for other sessions contact secretary@mhbridge.com who will try to find you an appropriate partner.

| SUMMER GARDEN PARTY |
A date for your diaries - July 5th, starting 1pm, in Ashley Village.
MHBC is hosting a summer garden party for members and spouses/partners.
Price (£20 per person) includes a caterer-provided superb buffet with tea/coffee and biscuits later.
We have a local excellent singer for the afternoon
Soft drinks included but feel free to bring a bottle along!
In case of bad weather we have the village hall in Ashley in reserve.

| MONDAY EVENINGS |
On Monday evenings usually play a 24-board duplicate session. Players need to book on this website, up to a week ahead. A member can book for a non-member to partner them. Visitors welcome, please contact us at enquiries@mhbridge.com
On the first week of each month results count towards our handicap competition for the Jean Pringle Trophy. And on the third Monday results count towards the "scratch" club championship for the Bill Carter Trophy. All results are submitted to the EBU for the National Grading Scheme and award of Masterpoints.
Table money is £5 for members, £6 for non-members.

| WEDNESDAY MORNINGS |
For those wanting a more relaxed session of duplicate bridge, we recommend the “Breakaway Bridge Club”, which now meets on a WEDNESDAY morning at 9.45am (for a 10am start). in the Baptist Church Market Harborough.
They typically play 18 boards (duplicate bridge), in a relaxed atmosphere. This is an independent group (non-EBU). There is no membership fee, with table money of £4 per person. Players don't need to come with a partner, they will try to find one for you on the day.
They also have a WhatsApp Group called "Wednesday Bridge" for finding partners. Please contact Stella Joyce (stellafjoyce@gmail.com) for more information.

Want a game but not confident enough to try the club duplicate sessions yet? Why not come along to our improvers workshops. We select topics to present, discuss, and then play related hands with plenty of help should you get stuck.

Anyone can post a "Partner Needed" request for any forthcoming session via the "Bookings Calendar" tab. Members can also join our "WhatsApp" group to message others in the group. If you are not in the WhatsApp group but would like to be, contact us via the club email address.
