2026 Maine Macedon Cup - Team Maine Wins Again!

Saturday 24th October. Another emphatic win, with Maine teams once again scooping the top 4 places to retain the Cup.

Overall winners were...

1. O'Hare / Stoney / Goddard / Goddard  +219 Imps
2. Forbes / Stewart / Archer / Byrnes +63 Imps
3. Banko / Close / Dyson / Wiltshire +55 Imps
4. Ride / Griffin / Williams / Bessell +12 Imps

Best performed Ranges team were Crosling / Mactier / Wilson / Scrivener, with +9 IMPs.

Many thanks are owed to our hosts and opponents, Macedon Ranges, for organising and running this year's event, with catering. It was a friendly and fun day. Thanks also to: our Director, Kerrie, from Bendigo BC, for managing the play with her usual aplomb; Guy, from Ranges, who managed the technical side of things; and, surely, many other helpers.  

Last, but not least, thanks to the two team managers: Louise (Maine) and Cate (Ranges) for their behind the scenes co-operation and organisation dedicated to ensuring that the event ran smoothly. Particularly effective was their decision to move the event from August to October, which resulted in much more comfortable playing conditions in Taradale Hall.

2026 MBC GNOT Club Selection Event - Masterpoints

2026 MBC Online Championship Pairs

2026 Club Autumn Pairs - Overall Results

The Club Autumn Pairs sessions were well attended, with 10 or 11 tables per session.. The Overall results are now available - see Results for details.

Results for Ron Wescott Memorial Pairs - Sunday, March 29th

Maine-based players did particularly well. Congratulations to NS winners Jenni & Henry, runners-up Louise & Jo, and 3rd place getters Charles & Jan. Also to EW winners Sandy and Graham, and to equal 3rd place getters Chris & Annie. (The other equal 3rd-placed pair was Merlyn & Kevin.)

A link to the MyABF website has been added to our 'Useful Links' page. Members who have not yet signed up to  MyABF are encouraged to do so, as it gives you a personal ABF account you can login to. The ABF are actively expanding the functionality of MyABF and, over time, it  will come to play a significant role in supporting your bridge activities. (Eg, Entry and fee payment for the recent Geelong BC Congress was via MyABF.)
