A little consideration for everyone

Bridge is played in close proximity around the table, so if you are feeling unwell or have an infectious illness, please stay at home until you are feeling better.

This helps us keep the club a comfortable and enjoyable place for everyone.

Good cards. Great company.

Our commitment to your privacy

Llandudno Bridge Club respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What information do we hold?

We maintain records of our members, including names and contact details, to administer membership and run the club. We may also record bridge results, scores and rankings from club sessions.

We collect and use this information only for legitimate club purposes, as explained in this statement.

How do we use your information?

We use members' information to administer membership, communicate about club activities, maintain appropriate club records and organise bridge sessions.

We use names and results to make the results of club sessions available to players. Where appropriate, results may also be submitted to the Welsh Bridge Union for scoring and master-point purposes.

Depending on the purpose, our lawful basis for using personal information may be our legitimate interests in running the club, fulfilling relevant obligations, or consent where appropriate.

Sharing information with the Welsh Bridge Union

Llandudno Bridge Club is affiliated to the Welsh Bridge Union (WBU). Where necessary, we share relevant membership information with the WBU for affiliation, membership administration and applicable competition, scoring or master-point purposes.

You can read the WBU's privacy policy here: Welsh Bridge Union Privacy Policy .

Publishing bridge results

We publish the results of club sessions on our website so that members and players can see how they have done. These results may include players' names, scores and rankings.

We aim to make players aware of this use of their information and to respect their privacy. Results are normally retained on our website for up to ten years.

Where applicable, results may also be submitted to the Welsh Bridge Union for scoring and master-point purposes.

Visitors and guest players

We welcome visitors and guest players to our club sessions. We may publish their names, scores and rankings alongside those of our members so that the results of club sessions are available on our website.

Visitors may be members of the Welsh Bridge Union through another affiliated club. Where applicable, their results may be submitted to the WBU for scoring and master-point purposes.

Visitors who have questions or concerns about the use of their personal information can contact the Club Secretary.

Keeping information secure

We take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure and to prevent it from being lost, misused or accessed without permission. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.

How long do we keep information?

We keep membership information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to administer membership, maintain appropriate club records and meet any relevant legal or accounting requirements. Information is securely deleted or destroyed when it is no longer needed.

Published bridge results are normally retained on our website for up to ten years.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, or request deletion or restriction of its use in certain circumstances. You may also have the right to object to certain uses of your information, including where we rely on legitimate interests.
