The DBC Trophy 2025

The DBC Trophy is awarded each year around the third Wednesday in August.  The cup was presented to the club by Di Ball our original Chairperson, when she left Norfolk to live in foreign climes (Herts).

Di tries to be here each year to present the trophy, this year however this was difficult as she won the cup herself together with her partner Graham Connolly.  Congratulations to you both !

It's got info on everything from teaching in schools, U3A, fast track learning, individual tuition and clubs from easy starters to county level.

Plus links to the EBU, NCBA and EBED and the low-down on the county's affiliated and non-affiliated clubs.

Dereham Bridge Club Mission Statement
Dereham Bridge Club Mission Statement

Dereham Bridge Club was set up to be a local, friendly venue.  The club is not a member of the EBU. We welcome all new members and highlight our club ethos as below.  😊

We like to play in a competitive but friendly manner.  While individuals may be very competitive in themselves, the first and foremost aim of this club is for friendly inclusion.

Errors in play will be addressed as just that and where possible resolved within the four. If this is not possible (e.g. where someone has revoked) then Director will be called and local (binding) ruling will be made.

Play should be in a friendly, non-judgemental manner, made with reasonable speed and accusatory tones or manner avoided. There will be consideration in noise level for other players but friendly banter will occur.

There are many far more competitive clubs within Norfolk; we wish to remain friendly while still maintaining a reasonable standard.  If banter, a relaxed atmosphere, the odd error or daft question is not your thing – then Dereham Bridge Club is probably not either.
