Club Tickets: As you can see from the Simon Gottschalk's message (click Club Tickets.pdf), he needs our help in testing his new system that is replacing Spade Tickets before it goes live. As a thank you to him can you ALL give it a try please AND not leave it to others. It will end up being to everyone's benefit.
NOTE. For the testing you will NOT need to give any Card details AND you will still have to pay for sessions in which you actually take part.

Wednesday 25th September: Begin Bridge course taster session at 2pm in the club. .
Wednesday 2nd October: The next Begin Bridge course will start at the club on Wednesday 2nd October at 2pm. There will be a free Taster Session the week before, i.e. Wednesday 25th September at 2pm. Please spread the word about the new course to anyone who might be interested in learning bridge.
Thursday 3rd October: Supported Play preceded by a Talk on the first Thursday of each month at 2pm restarts.

Online League to Restart: Liz Atkinson will be running her successful online league starting in September. There will be three or four division dependent on entries. New teams are very welcome, teams can be up to six , 24 board matches, usually BBO to be arranged by the captains. About one match every six weeks. Players can be from anywhere and there is no cost involved, just glory! Entries to Liz please

Western League Bridge: The Western League is made up of 8 counties.We play 7 matches from September to April. We play online on Realbridge on a Saturday from 2pm-5.30pm. East Wales enters 3 teams: A, B & C (the starting point). Depending on numbers, you would probably play 1 or 2 matches (Jane & I played twice last year). It's a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon and if you fancy taking part in the C team then contact Richard Welsford at rtw76@sky.com
Bridge Courses & Supported Play: Simon, with the help of Jon, Stephen and Sooz, has developed a pathway for those new to Bridge starting with a Begin Bridge Course and leading to actual play in Club sessions.
We now have: Begin Bridge Courses, Continuing Bridge Courses, Supported Play on Wednesday Afternoons (restarting on 11th September) and Supported Play preceded by a Talk on the first Thursday of each month (restarting on 3rd October).

Thursday Evening Bridge Talk & Play: These sessions, held on the 1st Thursday of the month, are taking a break over the summer and will resume on Thursday 3rd October.
Afternoon Bridge: If you are looking for a friendly game and a cup of coffee in the daytime then we hold two sessions each week. Come and join us on Monday afternoons for Social Bridge in the Club (with free coffee and home made cakes!) starting at 1.30pm and on Thursday afternoons when play starts in the club at 2pm and is suitable for players of all standards.
