Welsh Cup 2021 |
The invitations for the Welsh Cup have now been issued. This, Wales' premier knockout event, will be played online in the initial rounds but will still be regionalised into a North and South region in the hope that later matches will be played live.
Each stanza won gives a portion of a Green Point so, unlike most knockout competitions, you are likely to get some Green Points even when you lose a match.
So why not enter this year? It will lead to a final with about six teams some time in 2021.

Cambria Cup 2021 |
The invitations for the Cambria Cup have now been issued. This, Wales' premier mixed knockout event, will be played online in the initial rounds but will still be regionalised into a North and South region in the hope that later matches will be played live.
Each stanza won gives a portion of a Green Point so, unlike most knockout competitions, you are likely to get some Green Points even when you lose a match. Each team must have at least one man and one woman and players play one third of the boards with each other partner.
So why not enter this year? It will lead to a final with about six teams some time in 2021.

Playing Online |
Perforce many of you will be turning to the internet to play your favourite game.
To help you on your way, Dave Lea and Tony Haworth have produced a couple of "how-to" guides to the largest and arguably most comprehensive site for watching and playing bridge online, bridgebase.com. These are available via the home page of the Bridgend club's Bridgewebs site and for convenience also here. Simply click on the links below to access the documents.
