After running three successful transition courses we currently have no immediate plans for a further course.  Instead we will be offering short teaching sessions twice monthly during our Supervised Play sessions on Monday afternoons. (See Supervised Play link)

However we would consider future Transition Courses if enough people register an interest via the form below.

The sessions would be be held in our club venue in Camberley Cricket Club from 1.45 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Mondays:

Over an eight week course topics taught would introduce you to duplicate bridge and how it’s played in bridge clubs. It should improve confidence to play at club level and include topics such as bridge etiquette, alerting and announcing and pace of play as well as bridge topics like leads, discards/signals and use of system cards.  Each session would start with approximately 30 minutes tuition followed by a tea break then a gentle duplicate play session, with hands set to reflect the theme of the lesson.

It’s expected that those who join would already have completed a year’s course of lessons as we would not be teaching basic bridge. The course is continuous so you may find it difficult if you cannot make all the sessions. However we do furnish you with the handouts if you unavoidably miss a session. To ensure you obtain maximum benefit from the course, we recommend that you aim to miss no more than one.

The whole course would include membership of Camberley Bridge Club for the remainder of the membership year. We also enrol you into the EBU.

Partners aren't required; if you don't have a regular partner, we'll find you one on the day. To register your interest for any future event, please complete the details below and we’ll get back to you if and when we have dates for a new course.

All information will remain confidential and not be shown.
