Bridge teachers and courses

 

We currently run sessions on a Tuesday morning introducing conventions and duplicate bridge - see our home page and the information section. We have also begun to compile a list of teachers, courses and opportunities to practice in or near Bromley. Listed below. If you are interested in learning more about card playing and the very basics of bridge please have an informal discussion with our Chairman Tim. If you have details of other lessons or sources which you think could usefully be added please send the details to webmaster@briterbridge2.org.uk. Briter Bridge Club 2 does not endorse the following, just signposts in the direction of possible sources (in alphabetical order):

 

Andrew Robson Bridge Club (SW6) runs 8 week beginner courses with free taster sessions three times a year for those who want to try before they buy.

 

Beckenham Bridge Club  runs classes if sufficient interest and duplicate playing practice for improvers. An improvers course starts on 2nd October 2023. For more information click here

 

Bromley Novice Bridge Club an introduction to playing duplicate with a teacher on hand to assist. Suitable for those who know the basics of the game.

 

Bromley U3A Study Group meets on a Tuesday afternoon to discuss prepared handsto practice bridge conventions and on a Friday for Chicago bridge

 

West Hants Bridge School running virtual lessons for beginners and refresher classes

The Friendly Online Bridge Club has Zoom tutorials and practice games on BBO


The Kent County Contract Bridge Association has a list of teachers in Kent and runs courses for teachers

 

New Tricks Bridge is a website offering overviews of bridge tournaments plus free tutorials starting with card game basics before progressing to bridge

Orpington Bridge Club Runs some courses and also has some guidance on their website - under "training" in the menu
