 Dottie Pirkle's DBC
After 24 great years, Ginger announced that Dottie Pirkle's DBC has dealt its final hand. Many thanks go out to Ginger for her diligence and hard work that kept the game going for so many years.
In a related change, The Canton Studio discontinued the Friday game, and began hosting a game on Thursday instead.
Dottie Pirkle started the duplicate bridge club in 1990.
She taught to 10 week courses a year for 14 years.
Dottie handed over the directing responsibility to Ginger Rhamey in 2004. In 2007 Nancy Strain built a new facility just for our bridge games.
January 2015 marked our 25th year as a duplicate bridge club.
March 2019 we moved to the Henderson County Senior Citizens Center - 3344 TX 31 - Athens, TX 75752
September 2023, the game moved to St. Edwards Catholic Church.
