From 23rd April the Wednesday evening duplicate will just be held face to face over the summer months.
For those of you who cannot get to the club building, I am sorry to stop the online section. I will still be keeping the Monday afternoon duplicate at 2pm on BBO.

| Chelsea Match v Leicester |

A massive thank you to Rasmus Sojmark from SBC who donated two tickets to a Chelsea Home game in a box as the star prize for the raffle during the Festival week.
The prize was won by Maria Hall. Maria's son and friend came to the Chelsea v Leicester game on Sunday 9th March. It was a great day, delicious food, champagne and a stylish way to watch football! Chelsea won which must be a good thing when you are in a Chelsea Box.
Thank you to all those who bought tickets. The Raffle raised a huge amount of money.

| Bridge Festival |

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this week a great success. We have raised £8,066 and possibly a bit more with Friday duplicate payments. The raffle raised over £2,000.
Thank you so much to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who donated food, raffle prizes, time to do the bar and serve food and who donated money. Thank you to David Bakhshi for taking the time to come and help with the seminar and to all the expert bridge players who took the time to travel and play on Thursday evening.
I would also like to thank those who attended all the events, the events were made so special by you all being there. I loved every single minute of this week! We are so lucky to have such a generous and kind bridge community at the Abbey Smith Bridge Club. I genuinely appreciate every single member and player who comes to lessons. You all make my job so much fun.
The game of bridge has always been so special to me and I love seeing the club thrive. I cannot thank you all enough for helping me do this.

| NEW SESSIONS |

In an attempt to encourage as many of you to play bridge as much as possible, I have come up with a new timetable.
NEW SESSIONS STARTING
There will be one slight change to the duplicates and one additional session being introduced the Week commencing 30th September.
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS
This will be a hybrid session so you can choose to play face to face or on BBO. Both sections will be scored together. I will be directing both so online ideally will start at 6.50pm and then face to face will start at 7pm at Drayton Parslow Sports and Social Club. Both sections will play 18 boards - face to face will finish at 9.30pm, online should finish at 9pm. There will be a host for face to face so you can turn up without a partner.
THURSDAY MORNING DUPLICATE
There will be a NEW face to face duplicate starting on a Thursday morning from 10am to 12.30pm. Same format at Friday afternoons, 18 boards in 2 and half hours. It would be brilliant if some of you who can't make the current face to face duplicates to be able to play. There will be a host so you can turn up without a partner.
FULL TIMETABLE
Mondays BBO 2pm
Wednesdays HYBRID - either on BBO 6.50pm or face to face 7pm - 9.30pm Host for face to face
Thursday face to face 10am to 12.30pm Host provided
Thursday evening face to face 7pm to 10pm No host
Friday face to face 2pm - 4.30pm.Host provided
