RETURNING TO THE GAME OF BRIDGE AFTER A PERIOD AWAY FROM THE GAME

You haven’t played for quite a while and apart from being a bit rusty the bridge world may have moved on with new conventions and systems in play.  You feel that beginners’ lessons are not necessary but nevertheless you feel you need a bit of help to get that bridge brain working again and to get up to date.

The following clubs offer refresher courses and/or supervised play sessions that should be ideal for you:

ABBEY SMITH BC (at Little Horwood, Bucks) - see website www.bridgewebs.com/abbeysmith/ - or e-mail Abbey at abbeybridgelessons@hotmail.co.uk

BLEWBURY BC - social duplicate sessions with expert advice available on three Fridays out of four from Autumn to Early Summer - contact Tina Hollick at tina@hassle.org.uk

BRIDGE IN OXFORD - Jonathan Davis, a regular member of the Oxfordshire county teams, and author of the bestselling book Learn Bridge In A Weekend, teaches all 11 of Andrew Robson’s bridge courses, ideal for all abilites and experience, incuidng those returning to the game. Visit the Bridge In Oxford website (https://arb-oxf.uk) or email arb.oxford@gmail.com for more details.

BUCKNELLBRIDGE - Charlie Bucknell, international bridge player and teacher is offering frequent refresher courses and private tuition to help those returning to bridge after a break in the Lockdown. He'd be delighted to hear from you (bucknellbridge@gmail.com, 07889284580)
