Bridge Sessions week beginning Monday 15th December 2025

Please be seated in your playing position 5-10 minutes before the session starts.

If you are playing with the standby, please be in the club at least 15 minutes before the session starts.

This allows the director to set the movement.

Monday  7.15pm Friendly Duplicate Bridge, Standby available.

Tuesday 7.15pm Duplicate Bridge, Standby available. 

Wednesday  1.15pm Friendly afternoon duplicate, Standby available.

Thursday 7.15 pm Championship Pairs Round 3, no Standby available.

Wigan Bridge Club will be closed from Wednesday 24th December for Christmas.

The last bridge session for 2025 will be on Tuesday 23rd December.

The club re-opens on Monday 5th January 2026.

The new year starts with The Novice Championship Pairs. ( see below)

Championship Pairs Round 3 of 10

Thursday 18th December

You need to play a minimum of 5 times with the same partner.

Highest average score, of best 5 events, wins the trophy!

Championship pairs (2025-2026)

2026 starts with the Novice Championship Pairs.

This event will run for 10 consecutive Monday evenings, starting Monday 5th January.

All players are welcome to play, but only a novice pair will be eligible to win the trophy.

Players need to be club members and need to play with the same partner. Their top 5 scores are counted towards the final total.

Players in the first year after their lessons may ask up to two questions per pair per week. No further questions allowed.
