| Summer Party Saturday 6 June 2026 |

On 6th June 2026, Westcott Bridge Club held its annual summer party.
Unfortunately the weather was not kind so the party was held indoors. However, spirits were undeterred and some 35+ members (and partners) of the Club attended the event hosted by Jill at her home. It was a splendid occasion with delicious food and plenty of wine and other beverages.
Thank you to Jill for hosting and Julia and her team for catering.

| WBC’s 2nd Away Bridge Weekend 17-19 April 2026 |
After a successful inaugural event held at the Norfolk Arms Hotel in Arundel in April 2025, WBC decided to hold a second event. After considering a number of venues it was decided to go to the Ardington Hotel in Worthing – a hotel which regularly holds bridge events.
Some 16 members and a small number of partners gathered at the hotel on 17th April 2026, right next to Worthing pier and seafront, for a Friday afternoon start despite the problems posed by a closed A24.
A very enjoyable 2 days followed, blessed by excellent weather. We held 2 playing sessions on Friday and Saturday afternoons, and importantly enjoyed excellent facilities and catering offered by the hotel.
The social side also proved most enjoyable with a Treasure Trail around the town centre of Worthing and evening events in the form of a quiz and parlour games arranged by Anne.
Feedback has been very positive and we are planning to hold further such events. As always, ideas for location and offers of help would be much appreciated.
