Gentle Duplicate
|
- This is pitched at student members (Beginner, Improver and Intermediate)
- The pace is slower than regular duplicate, playing 15-16 boards over about two hours
- Non-student players are permitted to play at the discretion of the TD
- We ask that you don't offer unasked for advice, or comment on the students' bidding and/or play.

When and where?
|
- Thursday afternoon, 4.30pm online, RealBridge via the WGCBC website link (just turn up with or without a partner)
- Alternate Saturday morning 10:30 - 12:30 @ KGV Playing Fields F2F (you don't need a partner, just turn up!)

How to join online
|
- On the day just find the RealBridge Session Links tab on the left hand side of our homepage
- Scroll down to the blue player links and click on the one called ThursdayGentleDuplicate, this will bring you to a sign in page (it may ask you to allow access to your camera and microphone)
- Enter your name (First and Surname with a capital letter at the start of each), then enter your four-figure club ID, if you don't know your club ID you can find it via the Members' Area

Partner
|
- You do not need a partner to play, just turn up and we'll pair you up with another solo student or with one of our lovely buddy players
|

Cost
|
- £2.50 per player per session for members, £3.50 for visitors payable by cashless
|
|
Cashless payment
|
- Payment is taken via our cashless system
- You will need a club ID to log into the session and for payment to be taken from your cashless account
- Putting money into your cashless account is easy, just follow the instructions in this link: Cashless Information

Results
|
- The results at the end of the session will be uploaded to the club website but they will not be uploaded to the English Bridge Union (EBU), so there are no master points or NGS awarded for these sessions
- The results play no part in the club’s yearly ladders.

Remember
|
- Please remember that Gentle Duplicate is a friendly session pitched at Beginner, Improver and Intermediate students
- Always allow 'undo' bid requests made by opponents
- 'Best behaviour at bridge' is expected at all times
- Remember, we also run Supervised Play session each Saturday morning, please click the Supervised Play tab on the left hand side of the homepage
