BREAKING NEWS.......

A new committee has been selected for the next twelve months. What would you see in the future & like to change?

Conventions Learning
Conventions Learning

If you wish to expand your knowledge of a lot of the bidding systems (known as conventions), that are available to you, we suggest that you just type "www.bridgebum.com" into your search engine. This site lists under the heading of "Bidding", a lot of the conventions that you could ever require. Also at the top of the home page, there are even more options for declarer play, defence & more besides. This is an American site, hence the ending which means something completely different, across the pond. This is not just for what you might wish to play, but also to learn about some conventions that you come across, that your opponents play. What does their bid actually mean? What are its downfalls? Can you take any advantage by using this knowledge? Enjoy..................

P.S. Although I have tried setting this up as a link - it appears that the domain is up for sale. The web-site is still working properly though! but be aware that some of the more British conventions are not there.

P.P.S. I recently came across "Outback Acol" as a way of playing Bridge. I cannot tell you much about this system, but their bids could be from a hand containing 0 (ZERO) HCP's. Not everything is recorded.............
