This Web Site is used for the purpose of uploading the results of the Supervised Play Sessions held at Oake Village Hall on the first, third and - when they happen - fifth Friday mornings of each month, commencing at 10 a.m.   These Supervised Play Sessions are for those who already play Bridge and, ideally, have taken a formal course of lessons, and who are seeking to gain experience and confidence before joining a Club.  If interested, please contact Tony Morgan  - mrgntony@yahoo.com

20 March 2025 -Trull Bridge Group

Carmen overcame her handicap today and finished top, with Elizabeth & Allan in second place.  No really exciting Boards today - not a single biddable slam.   Would the shufflers/dealers try to do better next week, please?   Next session: 27 March

21 March 2025 - Oake SPG

Congratulations to Elizabeth & Jenny, top today N/S with 66.67%, Peter & Terry running them fairly close in second place. E/W winners were Marion & Ken, with Liz & Maggie P. second    The fixed deal was Board 4, on which ALL the N/S pairs disappointed me!   I gave you a combined 33 HCP, not to mention a 9-card Diamond fit, yet no one bid a slam.   Everyone made 12 tricks.  I thought it would just be a matter of seeing how many ended in 6NT and how many in 6D.   Next session:  4 April.  This will be the only session in April, as 18 April is Good Friday.
