In accordance with current Government guidelines, the Sunninghill Bridge Club Committee have taken the decision to suspend play at the club with immediate effect.
The AGM has been deferred to a future date yet to be decided upon; and, the End of Season party has been cancelled.
The age profile of the club is such we are likely to have many members who are amongst the most at risk, perhaps with underlying conditions which would enhance that risk.
This game of ours could be custom designed for spreading infection, and given the current advice it is difficult to see how we could safely continue.
We believe we cannot take chances with the health and well-being of our members, and must close the season early.
The club will reconvene as soon as it is safe so to do; as the situation develops we will endeavour to keep members informed.
