| Stratified Sim Pairs |
Congratulations on winning our heat of the EBU Stratified Pairs on 9th March go to Linda Allen and Dave Dobson who won with 64.33%. Jeremy and Rod were second with 62.05%, and Tom and Christina third with 58.27%.

| OBA Swiss Pairs |
Congratulations to John Deech, playing with non-member Robert Procter, on winning the OBA Swiss Pairs on 8th March. Linda and Diane were 3rd=, and Alison and Robert 5th. For the full results click here.

| Success for the Juniors |
 Nineteen teams entered the Annual Loughborough Schools Bridge Challenge on 7th March. The Oxford Junior Bridge Club team of Jacob Potter, Thomas Potter, Zane Soonawalla and Freddie Beneat came second! They were beaten only by the Under 20 Team containing Henry Rose, Jasmine Bakhshi and the two Feggartys AND the round that our team played against the Under 20's was the worst match for the under 20's (13 - 7) Jacob Potter bid a Notrump slam not bid by the Feggarty brothers!
The Dragon School team of three 11 year olds and one 12 year old came 11th and Oxford's third team of the three McAndrews and Alex Kroening came last, which was a pity for them but the McAndrew family have only been learning for 3 terms!
CONGRATULATIONS to them all; as ever, it was a wonderful well organised day at Loughborough with a brilliant atmosphere!

| Winter Ladder |
The Winter Ladder finished at the end of February. Very well done to Diane Coe who has won the ladder: the average of her ten best scores was 59.99%. Irene Holland was second with 59.58%, and Linda Edwards third with 59.4%.

To qualify for the ladder you have to be a Club Member and to have played at least ten times during the season (September to February, but not including teams).

| Annual Master Points Lists |
The EBU has just published its annual master points lists.
In the list of players who scored the most local points in sessions played at our Club in 2019 (i.e. Master Points gained at Summertown only):
Diane Coe was top with 669 MPs
Linda Edwards was 2nd with 606 MPs
Krys Kazmierczak was 3rd with 505 MPs

| British Winter Sim Pairs |
Congratulations to Diane & Linda, who came top with 67.08% in our heat of the British Winter Sim Pairs on 13th January. Roger & Paul were second, and Neil & Sara joint third with James & Valerie.

| Two Congress successes |
Congratulations to Sandra & Krys, who came 3rd out of 34 pairs in a field of top players in the Swiss Pairs at the Blackpool Year End Congress!
And further congratulations for coming 4th out of 52 (with two non-members) in the Swiss Teams at the Midland Counties Congress on 5th January.

| European Women's Bridge |
Diana Nettleton, playing with Marusa Gold, came top in the first stage of the European Women’s Trials, held on the first weekend in January. The top five pairs will play in the final later in the month. Well done Diana!
