We are holding an Open Evening on 14th September to encourage beginners and those who haven't played for a while to come along and join in a friendly evening of Chicago bridge. The Shipston club is a sociable club and our experienced players will be only too willing to help throughout the evening. Play will start around 7pm and refreshments will be provided.

Congratulations to Gill and Willem on taking top spot this week! Steve and Alison provided some healthy competition and were the only E/W pair to find (and make) 6-Hearts on Board 7; while Elaine and Peter were the only E/W pair bidding and making 6-Spades on Board 9.

Healthy competition with four tables this week. A handful of points separating the top 4 pairs, with Joan MW and Pat level-pegging at the top with Matthew and Steve. Bragging rights to Joan and Pat for taking Matthew and Steve 4 down, redoubled, on Board 5 - A massive score of 2200!! 

No slams this evening, but plenty of game contract opportunities, and a few dastardly doubles! This week's leaders Elaine and Peter scored a max 800 against last week's leaders, Richard and Margaret, taking them three down, doubled, on Board 16.
