Hot competition between Elaine and Peter and Mary and Dick this evening! Both pairs bid and made a slam (on Boards 20 and 9 respectively). Elaine and Peter emerging overall winners. Congratulations to Matthew and Steve for making a sacrifice bid of 5 Clubs on Board 23 (down 2) to ensure Rex and Roger couldn't enjoy a certain 4 Spades contract! It can be a cruel sport sometimes!... That's why we love it!

Congratulations to Alison and Willem for bidding and making the only slam of the night ( 6 Clubs on Board 21). We were pleased to welcome back Saul and Debbie who paired up to take the top spot this week.

| Evening 23rd March |
6 and a half tables this week! ..And potentially more when a few regulars return from breaks.. Matthew's photo (below) demonstrates that there is still plenty of room for a couple more tables. No slams bid and made this week, although three pairs tried and failed for 6NT on Board 11. Richard and Margaret were the only pair to sneak 4H on board 10. Congratulations to Mary and Dick on taking the top slot this week.
