February Update regarding Covid procedures |
With face masks no longer a requirement in community halls and member clubs we moved to masks being optional on and from Wednesday 2 February.
Please respect others preferring to continue with face masks and be prepared to wear one if asked. We also leave bidding boxes on tables as standard, although if you prefer you can carry one around the room with you if you wish.
Please continue using the hand sanitation provided on tables, and don't attend if you have Covid symptoms or aren't feeling well, and consider taking a lateral flow test when appropriate (e.g. after having been to places/events where large numbers congregate).

CLUB REOPENS |
As already confirmed to members we have an email address for, the club is reopening on Wednesday 21st July. To play, simply turn up with partner by 7:15pm so we can start promptly at 7:30pm. Please also note the HOUSE RULES outlined below.
The email from Colin Lamb on 12 July is copied below:
I can now confirm that the first session of bridge at Cranage will take place on Wednesday, 21st July. I’m pleased to say that the new system, BridgePal, will be in use, which involves scoring by tablet. Some simple instructions for use will be given at the start of the session and of course results will be available at the end of the evening.
Ann will endeavour to find you a partner if you need one, and please bring the exact amount of table money, £2, to avoid excessive money handling. Subscriptions are also due (remaining at £5) and will be collected over the next few weeks.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ‘HOUSE RULES’ CAREFULLY.
- All members attending must have received both vaccinations or had a recent negative test. If you have been abroad you will need to comply with government guidance with regard to isolation.
- Please don’t attend if you are suffering from any covid symptoms or even if you are just not feeling well.
- Hand sanitisers will be provided on each table to be used before each round of play.
- You should bring a mask and must wear it if anyone at your table requests you to.
- Tables will be well spaced and windows and doors will be kept open as far as possible so be prepared for a draught!
Whilst not wanting to make anyone feel uncomfortable the above rules will be strictly enforced for all our sakes.
