Friday 10th April - RBC 50th Anniversary. Chicago individual event, followed by celebratory fizz and luxury cake. Book in as a single or as a pair.
Sunday 5th July - Summer event at Robert Spencer's farm.
Sunday 11th October - Chris Malthouse Memorial Trophy. 1 day event. Buffet lunch included.
Friday 18th December - Christmas bridge event.

Teams will be formed by random draw from Pots A & B. Higher ranked NGS pair (Pot A) to team up with lower ranked NGS pair (Pot B).

| NEW GENTLE DUPLICATE BRIDGE (GDB) |
Rugby Bridge Club is pleased to inform our members that we are now including a new session into our weekly timetable. We all understand that transitioning to main club sessions can be daunting and this is where Gentle Duplicate Bridge (GDB) can help. Not only in assisting with bidding and card play, but also in understanding the etiquette and laws of game play. It is a recognized method used by the EBU and other Clubs.
Venue: at Dunchurch Sports and Village Hall
Day /Time: Tuesdays 10 am to 12:00 noon
Start Date: 2nd September 2025
How will the session be conducted to support you? The aim is for each table to have a mentor assisting the players and is very much targeted at those players transitioning from the classroom and/or those that appreciate the opportunity to have guidance whilst playing. It will be a 12-board session.
How to book in? Our first session will start on Tuesday the 2nd September and we ask members to book in as you would normally do for a club session. If you do not have a partner, that is not a problem, just book in as a single and a partner will be found or a mentor will partner you.
We do hope that you will support this very valuable addition to our club timetable.

Join us as a pair or as a single and play with RBC from the comfort of your own home, second home, hotel from anywhere in the world on your lap-top or tablet.
- Step 1. Download the BBO app. Load the account with US dollars. It’s 3$ to play
- Step 2. Advise Alan Webb aw5636548@gmail.com of your name, BBO log-in/ username and EBU number if you have one! It’s not essential.
- Step 3. Go to “bookings “on the RBC website and book-in with a partner or “request a partner. We do ask local players to join the club and play as a member.
- Step 4. At 6.45pm on the Monday, you are playing. GO TO BBO. Click “Virtual Clubs. Click EBU “England”. Click the Rugby Event and follow the instructions.
Tuesday 7pm on BBO with Tyler Hill Bridge Club
We will hold merged online sessions with Tyler Hill Bridge Club on both Monday and Tuesday nights. So on Monday night you can play at Rugby BC on BBO at 7pm and on Tuesday night you can join Tyler Hill Bridge Club on exactly the same basis. If you are interested in playing on a Tuesday night, whether regularly or not, kindly let Peter Baines know and he'll forward your name, BBO alias and EBU number to them.

As you see on-line there are booklets, ALL either new or updated in 2024 and hard-backed books at progressing levels. The booklets start with Beginners Bridge at £8.00 and then there are 21 Bridge lesson booklets. There is a boxed set of 20 for £100.00. Singles (assuming we order 10!) £5.00 if not they aren£6.00.
