| New CBF Program for 0–499 Players |
As part of our mandate to promote bridge across Canada, the Canadian Bridge Federation (CBF) is pleased to launch a new initiative for newer players (0–499 masterpoints). This program is designed to help players become comfortable with IMP scoring and gain experience with team-style bridge in a friendly, supportive environment. Games will be played on RealBridge, which provides a face-to-face club-like experience through live video and audio.
Right after each game, players will have an opportunity to join a live discussion with a Canadian expert, who will answer questions and review the hands that were just played.
Membership in the CBF is not required. These are the details:
- Who? any Canadian player with fewer than 499 MPs
- What? 14 Boards, followed by expert Q&A session
- Where? RealBridge – all participants need to set up a RealBridge account and deposit Canadian funds
- When? Tuesday evenings at 8pm ET, January 20th to March 10th (8 sessions)
- Cost? C$6.00 per session.
- How? Register as an individual at cbf.ca. Join any IMP Pairs game with any partner of your choice.
- Practice opportunities: Fridays 7:00 ET 0-499 Maple Leaf game on RealBridge (Jan 2, 9, 16)
