WINNER OF THE JEAN BILSBORROW TROPHY
2019 has been the best year ever for PBC members in International, National and Regional events. So far PBC members have won 18 of these events. Congratulations to all these players and we wish them continued success for the rest of 2019 and beyond. The list of wins can be found by clicking on this text
People who played in the Pivot Teams on Thursday 30 May and/or the Point-a-Board Teams on Wednesday 5 June, will find that these sessions have not been included in their NGS grade. For the first event, this was because our version of BridgeScorer could not produce an NGS upload for a Pivot Teams and for the second event, because NGS doesn’t accept Point-a-Board sessions. We apologise to anyone inconvenienced by this (particularly those who had good sessions!).
A few members have made us aware of difficulties with the acoustics particularly in rooms 1 and 2. We called in some experts to look at the effect of false ceilings and sound deadening materials their view was that the nature of the rooms was such that any measure of this type would have no appreciable effect. Bearing in mind that their advice results in them not making any money out of us we feel that this is honest advice and the rooms cannot be significantly improved.
The minutes of the AGM are now available in the usual place at recent discussions it was decided to make these member only access.
If you have difficulty accessing please email firstname.lastname@example.org
