Congratulations to PBC members Nick Sutcliffe, Bob Loveridge and Mike Tomlinson who were part of the team that qualified for the final of the Crockfords Plate. They beat a strong team from Young Chelsea in London in a closely fought match. They will now play in the national final, joining 7 other teams to play in an all-play-all, multi-teams event at Coventry, on the weekend of Saturday 31 August. The club wishes them the very best of luck in the final.
PBC offer a comprehensive teaching programme including a beginners' course, a consolidation course and supervised play sessions.
Anyone interested in the beginners lessons is invited to a FREE taster session on Tuesday September 24th.

Preston Bridge Club – Managed “partner finding” service
Preston Bridge Club is trialling, over the next few months, an online “partner finding” service for the Monday, Thursday and Friday evening sessions.
The Monday & Friday service is managed by Terry Hines and the Thursday service by Catherine Draper – many thanks to them for volunteering to do this.

PBC is intending to run a series of workshops on Competitive Bidding aimed at players who wish to improve their bidding, either to be more competitive in their normal club sessions and/or to start playing more regularly in regional/county events and teams leagues. From time to time we are asked to amend scores which have been entered incorrectly.
After some discussion it has been agreed that in accordance with EBU recommendations we will do this up to 7 days after the session.
You must however obtain the opponents agreement before contacting us to alter a score.
