The Vera Pugh Shield, a restricted pairs event, has been contested for this year and it's another great result! The winners were Doris Spilker and Jackie Downie who beat stiff opposition with Colleen & Errol Pillemer and Elly Edgar & Jo Morgan heading the other participants. Fantastic afternoon - well done to all who played.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to our newest champions - Trish Yeo and Cathy Clapoudis - who took out the Lindner Shield contested on Saturday. It was a great win against some very experienced opponents. Well done to you both and we look forward to seeing your names up there again in the future.

Once again congratulations to all who participated in the Australia-wide Novice Pairs event. It was a fun afternoon with some spirited play and it's always good to see newer members taking the plunge.
Well done to our highest placed contenders, Colleen & Errol Pillemer in 23rd and Jane Martin & Pauline Wood in 55th position. Given the number of overall entrants throughout the country, these are great results.
