Congratulations to  the winners of the mens and ladies pairs.

In the Gordon Clarke Trophy (Mens), Jim Ramadan and Maureen were equal top but they can't win the trophy and therefore John Clayton and Rick Assad will have that honour.

Candy Halloween and Pauline Kneen won the Terri Blackmore Trophy (Ladies)

Well Done

The Petersfield B team of Tim Smith, Tony Truluck, Steve Scott, Simon M Taylor, Mike Fithyan & Stuart Burnett played a Young Chelsea Team in the semi final of the Nicko Plate.

 They were +20 after 8 boards; +25 after 16 , had a bad third set so were 6 down after 24. and only won the last set by 5 to lose 68-69!

Very frustrating because after 31 boards it was 68-68. On the last board Stuart made 3NT but didn't make the overtrick. Then Tony & Tim defended the same contract - played that way round meant Tim had the opportunity to get it down - which he missed. Then Tony missed the chance of holding it to 3NT so they got an overtrick and they lost one imp and the match!!
