Some of you may have played "Singaporean/Floating Bridge" before, and Contract Bridge is the original version of the game played by the likes of Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Dwight D. Eisenhower. If it's your first time hearing the term "contract bridge" though:
Contract Bridge is a trick-taking game played with four players in two partnerships! It challenges you to communicate with your partner through bids, carefully plan your moves and carding, and outthink your opponents. It’s like chess with cards, where skill trumps luck, and every hand is a new puzzle to solve. Everyone plays the same hand, so there's no luck or gambling involved; if others get a better score than you upon comparison, skill issue :)
Whether for friendly competition or high-stakes tournaments, bridge is a game that sharpens your mind and keeps you coming back for more!
We are a tight-knit community of bridge enthusiasts with different course backgrounds who come together to play every week, and our membership has constantly been on the rise over the past few years. We have successfully fielded teams in multiple events held by the Singapore Contract Bridge Association, and have been continuing to do so, achieving respectable results along the way.
We welcome you to join us regardless of your experience with contract bridge, and hopefully you'll enjoy your time with us!
