The North Devon Charity Cup at Filleigh Village Hall November 2024

Eighteen teams competed for this Charity Swiss Teams event for the North Devon Charity Cup on Sunday 17th November 2024 at Filleigh Village Hall.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who came we raised £100 for Macmillan Cancer Care and £600 for the North Devon Hospice.

The Charity Teams for the Dartington Glass Trophy March 2024

The Charity Swiss Teams Competition for the Dartington Glass Trophy took place at the Filleigh Village Hall.

A total of 16 teams took part and thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised over £500 for our two charities - Macmillan Cancer Care and the North Devon Hospice.

Congratulations to the winners Alison Pollok & Ian Walsh with Paul Hide & Stephen Rafferty (pictured), the runners up Carol Ritzen & John Wintle with Jacqui & Steve Munns and to the winners of the risers prize Roe Bissett & Mary Snell with Sarah Butterworth & Janet Fergie.

The North Devon Charity Cup at Filleigh Village Hall November 2023

Sixteen teams competed for this Charity Swiss Teams event for the North Devon Charity Cup on Sunday 26th November 2023 at Filleigh Village Hall.

Congratulations to the winners Chris Thomas & John Dick with Jan & Terry Pollard (pictured) and to Carole Reid & Marjorie Higgins with Karen & Eamon Rogers in second place.

Well done to Linda Rafferty & Penny Gowland with Kate Ross & Margaret Riddoch who added 35 VPs in the last two matches to win the risers prize.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who came and a few who didn't, we raised £100 for Macmillan Cancer Care and £500 for the North Devon Hospice.

The Charity Teams for the Dartington Glass Trophy June 2023

We had seven teams for this event on June 25, 2023 at Filleigh Village Hall and therefore played a multiple-teams format rather than the usual Swiss teams affair.

Congratulations to the winning team Alison Pollok & Ian Walsh with Stephen Rafferty & Brent Wormald.  

In second place were Chris Thomas & John Dick with Bill Oeters & Jill Dick, and the handicap prize was won by Linda Rafferty & Neil Marsden with Carole Reid & Marjorie Higgins.

Thanks to the generosity of those attending and a few who didn't, we managed to raise a total of £260 for our two charities, the North Devon Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Care.

Sixteen teams competed for the North Devon Charity Cup at Filleigh Village Hall on Sunday 30th October 2022.

Congratulations to the winning team Gill & Chris Rogers, Linda Ashworth & Chris Hatt (pictured), the runners-up Dave Strawbridge, Avril Turnbull, Bas Miller & Angela Allin, and the winners of the risers prize Brenda Martin, Liz Martin, Brian Rowson & Patrick Smith.

Thanks to your generosity we raised £100 for Macmillan Cancer Care and £773 for the North Devon Hospice.

This includes a very generous donation of £150 from the members of the Westward Ho! Bridge Club.

Charity Swiss Teams at Filleigh Village Hall 28th November 2021

On Sunday 28th November 2021 at the Village Hall in Filleigh, 12 tables contested the Charity Swiss teams competition.

Carol's team came first with 82 VPs followed by Chris R's team in second place on 77 VPs. There was a tie for the riser's prize between Stephen R's team and Jacqui's team.

Many thanks to everyone for coming.

We raised £50 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £227 for the North Devon Hospice.

eCATS Simultaneous Pairs Online 5th November 2021

On Friday 5th November 2021, our afternoon online session took part in the eCATS Simultaneous Pairs Competition in aid of Children in Need.

We had six tables today and raised £100 for this important charity!

Congratulations to Penny & Roger in first place with 66.11%, to Julie & Ruth in second place with 61.67%, and to Sam & Neil in third place with 58.33%.
