Welcome to the website of the North Devon Bridge Group (NDBG), a subcommittee of the Devon Bridge Association (DBA). The NDBG supports and promotes the development of duplicate Bridge in North Devon by organising teaching for beginners, play sessions for improvers, and occasional seminars for more experienced players.

The Group also organises twice yearly charity teams events at Filleigh Village Hall in support of the North Devon Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Care, and works closely with the North Devon Congress subcommittee, which runs the North Devon Congress every year in February at the Barnstaple Hotel.

The AGM of the North Devon Section of the Devon Bridge Association will take place on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Taw Vale Bridge Club, Roundswell Community Centre, Barnstaple at 6.30pm followed by Bridge.

All North Devon players are welcome to attend and stay to play.

The Charity Swiss Teams Competition for the Dartington Glass Trophy took place at the Filleigh Village Hall on Sunday March 23, 2025 with 17 teams taking part.

Congratulations to the winners Dave Strawbridge & Mike Walsh with Betty Golding & Margaret Mardlin (pictured), the runners up Richard Lingham & Viv Mabley with Graham Hoare & Ann Slee and to the winners of the risers prize Peter Taylor & Caroline Palmer with Serena Kirkman and Lela Daniel.

Thanks to the generosity of players, we raised £600 for the North Devon Hospice and £100 for Macmillan Cancer Care.

There will be another Filleigh Charity event in the autumn, details to follow.

The 30th North Devon Congress took place at the Barnstaple Hotel on Friday 28th February through Sunday 2nd March 2025.

Eighteen teams competed for this Charity Swiss Teams event for the North Devon Charity Cup on Sunday 17th November 2024 at Filleigh Village Hall.
