Nicky Bainbridge, with over twenty years of teaching bridge, will start a beginners course on Thursday 17th September at 7-00pm.

The Bridge Lessons are aimed specifically at beginners with no previous bridge knowledge.  A structured curriculum is followed over three blocks of 10 lessons plus a revision lesson - each building on the previous ones. The program is shown in the club calendar running from 17th September to 17th June.  The aim is to introduce new players to bridge and to play in the club.  Club bridge is very social and it is likely you would make many new friends in the local area.  The club offers sessions catering for new players (Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings and Thursday late afternoon). 

Nicky is also running the Thursday late afternoon Gentle Bridge sessions - these are aimed at new and less experienced players where questions and guidance will be available on request.

Bridge Lessons are £8 each; it is normal to pay for 10 in advance - this saves administration during the lessons - it is best to plan to attend all lessons to benefit fully from the course.  Should you find at the first lesson that it is not for you there is no charge. Most students who attend the full course go on to join the club.

Gentle Bridge sessions are £5 each - these are "pay as you go" with the first one being free.  

Sessions are about 2 hours long.
