Entry forms will be posted here as entries open for the various events on the competition calendar.

Events designated pre-entry in the NCBA handbook close on the Tuesday prior to the event; any entries after may be accepted at the organisors' discretion.

Payment of entry fees can be made directly to the NCBA bank account, Sort Code 40-47-38; Account No. 51385089, please include your name and event date when paying.

  National Handicap Pairs Championship – Sunday 6 September 2026

Why not test your skills in the EBU National Handicap Pairs Championship? Open to players of all standards, this unique event uses NGS handicaps, giving everyone an equal chance of success, regardless of experience. The competition is played as a single session of around 30 boards, with results combined nationally across all participating clubs. The Norfolk heat will be hosted by Wymondham U3A Bridge Club, home of the 2025 National Handicap Pairs Champions, Pam Yeomans and Linda Brett. Play starts at 1.30pm at Central Hall, Wymondham, with table money of £6.00 per player.

Format: VPs will be awarded to the sum of the Imps scored by each team

  Charity Pairs - Sunday 20 September 2026

NCBA Charity Open Pairs

Join us for a friendly Charity Open Pairs event organised by the Norfolk Contract Bridge Association.

Programme

10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. Bridge

12.30 p.m. – 1.30 p.m. Cold buffet lunch

1.30 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. Bridge

This will be a Stratified Pairs event.

Entry Fee: £20 per person (includes lunch)

Parking is available close to the venue.

A Day of Remembrance

This event honours members of the bridge community who have passed away in recent years

This single session event is for the county's players with a NGS of between 6 and 9

Venue: Wymondham Central Hall; NR18 0QB

Time: 13h30 - 16:30

Closing Date: Friday, 2nd October

Format: Match-Point scoring

Entry Fee: Free to enter

  Barbara Dick-Cleland Trophy - Sunday 4 October

This single session event is for the county's less experienced players whose NGS is 5 or below.

Time: 13h30 - 16:30

 

Closing Date: Friday, 2nd October

 

Format: Match-Point scoring

 

Entry Fee: Free to enter

 

  Smart Trophy - Sunday 11 October

The Smart Trophy will be played following the AGM which begins at 10:30.

The format will be teams of four, and you're welcome to form a team on the day.
