Events designated pre-entry in the NCBA handbook close on the Tuesday prior to the event; any entries after may be accepted at the organisors' discretion.
Payment of entry fees can be made directly to the NCBA bank account, Sort Code 40-47-38; Account No. 51385089, please include your name and event date when paying.

Welcome to the New-Look Eastern Counties Cup: A Fresh Format for 2026/2027
Are you ready to test your skills in the county’s premier Teams of Four event? The Eastern Counties Cup is back, and we are introducing a major upgrade to give you more flexibility, more guaranteed bridge, and a direct shot at national glory.
We’ve listened to your feedback and we’re moving away from the old one-day qualifying heats and launching a Seeded, Double-Elimination Knock-Out Tournament running from September 2026 through January 2027.
Why You’ll Love the New Format
- Guaranteed Matchplay: No more "one-and-done" disappointments. The double-elimination format ensures every team is guaranteed a minimum of two full matches.
- Play on Your Own Terms: Captains have total control over scheduling and venues. Match dates, times, and platforms are completely up to you and your opponents. Want to play face-to-face privately at home or at a local club? Online via RealBridge or BBO? The choice is yours.
- Green Points Earned Early: You don't have to wait until the final standings to reap the rewards. Green points will now be awarded for every single round you win.
- A Fair Competition: Seeding means new and inexperienced players get a fair chance to play and build confidence and top-tier players are separated early on so that past success is rewarded with a high-stakes final
The Ultimate Goal: The Pachabo Cup
The Eastern Counties Cup isn't just about local prestige—it’s your gateway to the national stage. The champions will win the distinct honour of representing the county in the prestigious Pachabo Cup, the EBU’s elite Teams of Four Championship.
Note: Should the winning team be unable to attend the Pachabo Cup, the NCBA may invite the runners-up to take the stage and represent the county.

Join us for a friendly Charity Open Pairs event organised by the Norfolk Contract Bridge Association.
Programme
10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. Bridge
12.30 p.m. – 1.30 p.m. Cold buffet lunch
1.30 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. Bridge
This will be a Stratified Pairs event, with prizes for the overall winners.
Entry Fee: £20 per person (includes lunch)
Parking is available close to the venue.
