The League and the Future |
As many of you will be aware, the Norfolk and Norwich Bridge Club has sadly been dissolved. The club has sucessfully run a Teams of Four league twice a year, from January to April and from September to December. The NCBA will be taking over the running of the competition from September of this year. More information will be posted here on your website once the formats and details have been agreed. In the meantime, should you have some thoughts on what you would like to see in the competition please contact Neil Tracey as the NCBA will be guided by the wishes of it's members - remember, any idea is worth consideration so please do not be shy in sharing your thoughts.

Hudson Cup + New Event! |
The Hudson Cup is the county's Green Pointed pairs event that is also the qualifier for the EBU's Corwen Trophy. This year the final will be played over the weekend of May 31st and June 1st, on RealBridge; the NCBA is entitled to enter three pairs, and those qualifying pairs will have their entry paid by the County. The NCBA heat for the Hudson Cup is scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, over two sessions which commence at 11:00 and 14:00 on RealBridge.
The EBU is running a 9-High event in tandem with the Corwen Trophy. The final will be played over two sessions on Saturday, May 31st. The NCBA is also entitled to enter three pairs, and these pairs will similarly have their entry paid by the NCBA. The qualifying heat for this will be played on RealBridge, over one session, also on Sunday, April 27th, starting at 13:00.
