| Where are we? |
We are now playing at the Garden Plaza Retirement Community. It can be found at 545 N Garden Plaza Court. From I-90, take Exit 7 to the ID-41 offramp. Go to Mullan Road and turn left (west). Shortly after you pass Walmart, look for the driveway on the left. Click here for a link to see a map. Please park in the main parking lot in front of the building, and check in at the front desk.

| Interesting Hand - August 18th |
Show Detail |
Sometimes you have to take the hand records with a grain of salt. Today on board 24 it says N/S should only make 3♠ . West should be opening their 9 yes NINE card ♥ suit preemptively. I think 4♥ is the correct bid. N/S then have to get into the auction whether North overcalls 4♠ or it goes to South who would double. After N/S chime in E/W will probably go to 5♥ to which N/S should say 5♠ . To set the contract East has to lead a ♣ which makes no sense from the auction. The likely lead is the Q♥ won by Dummy. Declarer then pulls trump and gives up 2 ♦ tricks. Notice that the 2 E/W pairs that went to 6♥ for down 2 beat all the N/S pairs playing a S contract.
