| Where are we? |
We are now playing at the Garden Plaza Retirement Community. It can be found at 545 N Garden Plaza Court. From I-90, take Exit 7 to the ID-41 offramp. Go to Mullan Road and turn left (west). Shortly after you pass Walmart, look for the driveway on the left. Click here for a link to see a map. Please park in the main parking lot in front of the building, and check in at the front desk.

| Interesting Hand - February 24th |
Show Detail |
What a difference a point (and an Ace) make. E/W had 2 consecutive monster boards today – 20 & 21. Board 20 had a combined 32 HCP, and 21 had 33 HCP. 20 can only make 5♥ while 21 can make 7♠ and 7NT. Lets look at Losing Trick Count for each hand - 20 has 4 losers in the West and 9 in the East totaling 13. Subtract that from 24 and you get 11(which is how many tricks they can expect to take). 21 has 7 & 5 losers totaling 12. Subtracting from 24 they can expect to take 12 tricks. Good job to the 5 teams bidding and making slam on 21, and nice effort for the 5 teams that tried slam on 20. As a side note – make sure you and partner on the same page for asking key cards.
